Americans start to take skincare seriously around age 26, a poll of 2,000 adults found. Before their mid-20s, only 20% used facial sunscreen daily. However, younger generations are starting to take skin health more seriously than previous generations did at the same age. Overall, 54% of those who have had sunburns are worried about irreversible skin damage. “No matter if it’s a sunny or cloudy day, if you plan to stay indoors, or if you’re sitting by a window, in a plane, or in a car, it’s important to wear sunscreen daily,” Dr. Marc Hurlbert of Melanoma Research Alliance said.
