Reddit user FragmentedTungsten asked the community to tell them the most “out of pocket” thing their doctors have said. 6,000 people replied with stories of their doctors swearing, being inappropriate, or just being far too honest. One patient said their doctor left the room to “go YouTube it” in the middle of applying a cast. Another doctor ignored his female patient and asked her boyfriend if he was “okay” with her getting a breast reduction. The male doctor then denied her the surgery. The stories weren’t all bad: One patient said their best doctor was one who swore too much. “My favorite [doctor] ever, made sure I saw him yearly until he left the practice,” the patient said of her potty-mouthed physician.
