Food Safety and Inspection Service workers toured a Boar’s Head plant in Jarratt, Virginia and found a laundry list of sanitation violations. August’s inspection uncovered rusty equipment, mold, rancid odors, and “mud-like” substances. The team also found standing water throughout the plant. “This is the worst set of inspection reports I have ever seen,” Seattle lawyer Bill Marler said. Boar’s Head has recently recalled more than seven million pounds of common products due to a listeria outbreak. (dailymail.co.uk)
