New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu gave an eating competition contestant the Heimlich maneuver, saving him from choking. The incident took place at the Hampton Beach Lobster Roll Eating Competition on Sunday, when first-time participant Christian Moreno signaled for help in the middle of the contest. The governor sprang into action, and helped clear Moreno’s throat. “There was so much commotion,” Governor Sununu said. “He went right back to the contest, which I couldn’t believe. He ate another seven lobster rolls after that.” Moreno said he is grateful and is determined to compete again next year. (wmur)
