On Friday (September 13), Alex Lambert released his new single, “Wine.” According to Lambert, “Wine is an honest depiction of a man, wrestling with his own loneliness and broken heart, trying to drown his sorrows with a past lover who is doing the same with him. It’s the hard story of the things we sometimes run to in darker moments in search of some comfort and peace.” The rising country singer’s new tune is set to be featured on his forthcoming debut full-length album, Lonely Avenue, which is set to be released on October 11, and follows his Ride EP from earlier this year. Lambert made the announcement on Instagram, sharing details of both his new single and album, along with sharing the cover art for his debut record featuring Matt Cliff‘s colorful illustration of the emerging country star. Lambert captioned the post, “Words can’t express how excited I am to share these songs with all of you!” (Holler)
