A recent study from the Chinese Academy of Sciences found that our dogs’ brains sync with ours when they peer into our eyes. As pairs of dogs and humans became more familiar with one another, parts of their brains synchronized more strongly. Scientists have found that humans and some other animals “sync up” with members of their own species, but researchers have never found this pattern between members of two different species. Interestingly, this research could help humans who have autism spectrum disorders, as the dogs with autism-like symptoms were less synchronized with their human companions. (dailymail.co.uk)
