A survey of 100 Americans from each state found that it takes Americans over four weeks to plan Thanksgiving dinner. Delaware residents spent about 17 days planning their guest lists and 19 days building their menu. When it comes to hosting versus attending dinner, Californians, Hawaiians, and Floridians prefer to be guests. 66% of respondents feel baking is the “right” way to cook a turkey. 20% of Oklahomans prefer their turkeys smoked. Southern Americans are more likely to feel like mac and cheese should be on the menu. “Whether you’re cooking from scratch or cutting down on time with prepared foods, having a variety of options for everyone is sure to make this Thanksgiving one to remember,” Kim Anderson of Jennie-O said.
