California man Ken Wilson found his utility bill was abnormally high, and discovered he’s been paying his neighbor’s bill for up to 18 years. “I’ve been trying to conserve electricity and lower my costs because it was getting really expensive,” Wilson said. “I thought there was a leak or someone was stealing my electricity or the meter was faulty.” When a Pacific Gas and Electric worker checked his meter, he found that the meter was connected to the wrong apartment. PG&E apologized for the error, which will be corrected for the next billing cycle. (Kold)
