An archaeological dig at the Notre Dame Cathedral discovered the body of long-lost poet Joachim Du Bellay. The Renaissance poet, who passed away in 1560, had been “missing” for over 200 years. While there was no plaque, an examination of the remains found components that matched Du Bellay’s medical history. “What more can we have? Find his toothbrush to check that the DNA matches? His age and pathology alone offer remarkable statistical solidity,” Dominique Garcia said. (newser)
