A report released earlier this month accuses New York City public school employees’ families of taking Disney trips that were meant for homeless children. Six employees allegedly took their children or grandchildren on vacations intended for students living in shelters. According to the report, Regional Manager Linda Wilson took her children on trips using this grant money, and encouraged other employees to do the same. One staffer reportedly heard Wilson say: “What happens here stays with us.” The NYC Public Schools Press Office is expected to respond. (NPR)
