Art-lovers Can’t Stop Licking These Statues

Joseph Marr creates sculptures of the female form out of sugar, and some art lovers are looking to lick his hard work. “People just started licking it, and I was like, ‘What are you doing?’ You don’t know who’s licked there before,” Marr said. The sculptures are red in color, smooth like marble, and smell like honey. Marr says working with the sugar is wonderful but also difficult. His “Open Heart” sugar sculpture is currently on display in Berlin, but it is encased in glass, so no licking will be allowed. (Food Beast)
