Police in Spain report that two women sent scammers $365,000, all while thinking they were talking to Brad Pitt. Authorities say a group of swindlers contacted the women through a fan page for the actor, and defrauded them via email and WhatsApp. One victim lost $195,000, and the other sent $170,000. “The cybercriminals, to capture the victims, had studied their social networks and made a psychological profile of them, thus discovering that both women were two vulnerable people, lacking in affection and in a state of depression,” police said. Officials are still investigating the alleged scheme. (newser)
