A Florida man was rescued by a mailboat after attempting to swim from Canada to the United States. On Monday night, the J.W. Westcott II crew was notified that a man was attempting to swim across the Detroit River from Windsor. “Where we found him, he’d made it almost halfway across the river,” Captain Neil Schultheiss said. Crew members said the man seemed disoriented and cold, but was not injured. After the rescue, the boat was able to deliver its mail. (CBS)
