Beloved British actress Dame Maggie Smith, known for her iconic roles in the Harry Potter films and Downton Abbey, passed away early Friday morning at 89. Her family confirmed her peaceful passing in a hospital, survived by two sons and five grandchildren. Smith is one of 24 actors who have accomplished the prestigious “Triple Crown of Acting,” having received a Academy Award, Emmy, and Tony. She actually won two Oscars – for Best Actress in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie and Best Supporting Actress in 1978’s California Suite – along with five BAFTA Awards, four Emmys, and one Tony.
