A new American Cancer Society analysis has revealed that fewer women are dying from breast cancer in the United States, but there are unfortunately still racial disparities. Death rates for American Indian and Alaska Native women have stayed the same for the past 30 years. “These gaps need to be rectified through systematic efforts to ensure access to high-quality screening and treatment for every woman,” Dr. William Dahut of the ACS said. Overall, the breast cancer death rate has dropped 44% in the past 35 years. (UPI)
