A study published in the British Journal of Dermatology examined acne rates among teens in 204 countries. Researchers found that German teens suffer the most, with almost 16% of adolescents diagnosed with the condition. 14% of UK teens have acne, and 8.36% of American youths suffer from spotty skin. However, researchers note that not everyone who has acne seeks a formal diagnosis. “Acne is a common condition, but it can be severe,” Professor Michael Arden-Jones said. “Friends and family have an important role to play, as do health professionals in providing emotional support.” (dailymail.co.uk)
