A seven-year-old Chinese boy complained about a bad smell for two years before doctors discovered a screw in his nose. After his parents brought him in, doctors performed a CT scan and found an unknown object high in his nasal cavity. It was removed through surgery. “Because the object was stuck in the nasal cavity for so long, it was impossible to see what it was at first,” a hospital spokesperson said. “After careful cleaning, it was discovered that it was a metal screw.” The boy seems to be recovering well. Doctors advise parents to be on the lookout for symptoms like abnormal nose picking and nasal discharge. (Oddity Central)
