Police Find Rug In Columbus Woman’s Viral Backyard

An Ohio woman’s video showing a rug buried in her yard went viral on TikTok and triggered a police investigation, but fortunately, officials did not find anything more gruesome. Katie Santry was installing a fence when she found the rug, and viewers speculated that a human or pet could be wrapped up inside. Santry’s videos now have over 100 million views. Luckily, when police came and brought in an excavator, they found only rug remains. “You know, you can’t leave any stone unturned in these incidents, so we just want to make sure that we are doing our due diligence,” Jennifer Watson of the Columbus Division of Police said.
