While pups can eat pumpkins when they’re skinned, baked, or turned into puree, pumpkin skin and stems can be harmful to our furry best friends. “Pumpkin stems and leaves are covered in tiny, prickly hairs,” Andrew Leal of Waggel said. “These can harm dogs – particularly puppies.” To keep your dogs safe, get rid of leaves and stems, or keep pumpkins out of reach of pets.
