This Pumpkin Weighs 2,471 Pounds

Travis Gienger of Minnesota grew a pumpkin that weighs a whopping 2,471 pounds. Gienger, a horticulture teacher, won the 51st World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off in Half Moon Bay, California. This pumpkin, which weighs more than a ton, is actually eight pounds lighter than his 2023 entry. Gienger says a cold fall impacted his gourd’s growth. “We had really, really tough weather and somehow, some way, I kept on working,” he said.
