Study: 19% Of People Don’t Wash Their Hands

A survey of 1,229 Australians found that 19% of respondents do not wash their hands every time they use the bathroom. 42% confessed to not always washing hands before handling food. Women tend to wash their hands more often than men, and those over 65 wash their hands after using the toilet 86% of the time. Many people skip washing their hands due to low “illness threat perception”, meaning they don’t think they’re at risk of getting sick. (Study Finds)
