Dog owners have to stop their fur babies from eating something weird every three days, a survey of 2,000 pet parents found. Respondents reported that their dogs have tried to eat tampons, wall spackle, a winning lottery ticket, and television remote controls. One dog even ate a Christmas tree ornament. 59% of dog owners worry that they don’t always notice when their pet gets into something, and 21% have never read the nutritional label on their dog’s food. “If you’re on a journey to improve your pet’s nutrition, that’s wonderful,” Gary Tashjian of Darwin’s Natural Pet Products said. “Aim for the highest-quality ingredients you can afford, including real meat (not meat by-products) and a variety of vegetables.” (swnsdigital)
