A study from Norway found that the timing of life events, like having a child or the death of a parent, was linked to wealth. Researchers found that of the 48,000 Norwegians surveyed, those who had children later in life or didn’t have children tended to accumulate more wealth. Those whose parents died later in life also tended to generate more wealth. Interestingly, childless individuals started with low wealth positions at age 40, but showed strong increases through their 50s. (Study Finds)
