American Airlines Tests Shaming Passengers Boarding Early

American Airlines is testing a change to the boarding process that would effectively shame those trying to board early. An alert will go off if a passenger tries to scan a ticket ahead of their assigned group. The change is currently being tested at Albuquerque International Sunport Airport, Tucson International Airport, and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. “The new technology is designed to ensure customers receive the benefits of priority boarding with ease and helps improve the boarding experience,” an American Airlines statement reads.
