A team from two Florida universities found that people are developing a disdain for AI-generated writing. Researchers discovered that participants downgraded stories they believed were written by AI. In addition, readers were less likely to feel “transported” by AI-generated tales. “AI is good at writing something that is consistent, logical and coherent. But it is still weaker at writing engaging stories,” Dr. Haoran Chu said. “AI does not write like a master writer. That’s probably good news for people like Hollywood screenwriters – for now,” Dr. Chu concluded. (Study Finds)
