Cannabis exposure during pregnancy is associated with poorer thinking skills and aggressive behavior in children, a study from the Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Ohio found. While some expecting mothers use marijuana to curb stress and morning sickness, this is not recommended. Researchers found that kids exposed to cannabis in the womb had trouble controlling impulses and paying attention. “Our findings were not surprising — they actually confirm and expand on longstanding evidence from previous research,” lead researcher Sarah Keim said. “Although cannabis is a natural product, there are still many risks to using it during pregnancy.” (UPI)
