Campbell’s 2024 State of the Sides Report has been published! The survey polled 5,000 Americans in all 50 states to see which Thanksgiving side dishes are the most popular. Stuffing took the top spot as America’s favorite side dish, beating out mashed potatoes. Sweet potatoes took third place, and Green Bean Casserole took fourth. Virginians love bread, South Carolina diners enjoy green veggies, and Wyoming likes cranberry sauce best. Northeastern states are more likely to include Italian dishes in their Thanksgiving spread, and Midwesterners are more likely to add some crunch to their Mac & Cheese. 60% of those polled say they enjoy cooking the sides more than the turkey, and 38% of respondents would happily fill their plates with just side dishes.
