Americans spend less time outside compared to before the pandemic, a Clemson University and UCLA study found. Between 2019 and 2021, Americans went outside one hour less per day, from 5.5 hours to 4.5 hours. Shockingly, there are no signs of this reduction reversing. Researchers analyzed data from 34,000 Americans which included in-home activities along with out-of-home activities like shopping and sports. While Americans began staying home more often back in 2023, Covid-19 seemed to accelerate the trend. (Study Finds)
