The New Orleans theme park that was devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 is finally being torn down. The Six Flags location never reopened, and control of the property went to the Industrial Development Board of the City of New Orleans after Six Flags went bankrupt. Proposals for a new project for the land include an educational facility, a water park, hotel, and movie studio. More details regarding the project will be revealed in mid-November. (newser)
