A study from the University of Georgia found that consuming omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids could lower your risk of certain cancers. Researchers analyzed data from over 250,000 people and found that higher levels of omega-3s were associated with lower rates of colon, stomach, and lung cancer. Elevated omega-6 levels were associated with a reduced risk of brain, skin, and bladder cancer, among others. “These findings suggest that the average person should focus on getting more of these fatty acids in their diets,” researcher Yuchen Zhang said. These healthy fats can be found in fish, nuts, seeds, and some plant oils. Those considering supplements should consult their doctor. (Study Finds)
