A skating rink worker accidentally froze his daughter’s phone in the ice, and it can’t be recovered until 2025. The UK worker left his daughter’s bright pink phone on the side of the Milton Keynes rink, and 15,850 gallons of water was then poured into the venue. By the time the phone was discovered, it was encased in ice. Ice Leisure Director Rob Cook said the phone will need to remain there as digging it out would ruin the entire rink. “If we were to dig it out, it would affect the structure of the ice so it’ll remain entombed for the next two months,” Mr. Cook said. The anonymous worker promised his daughter a new phone if this one doesn’t work when it is recovered. (AOL)
