Thieves in and around Guelph, Ontario have been stealing hundreds of pounds of butter from grocery stores. Reportedly, each successful heist makes off with $1000 dollars-worth of the yellow stuff. “It doesn’t seem particularly complex or elaborate. It is walking into a store, grabbing a whole load of butter, and walking out,” Reporter Mark Colley said of the crooks’ brazen thefts. The butter bandits are still at large and have completed nine heists total. The motive behind the crime remains unclear. (Kitchener)
