On average, men have two best friends and five general friends, according to a survey of 2,000 men. 33% are comfortable calling their friends “bro”, 26% would call their friends “brother”, but only 6% would use the term “bestie.” Millennials and Gen Z men are more likely to open up about their deepest feelings. 23% say they share more openly with friends than their partners. “While it’s amazing to see that the majority of men are comfortable confiding their most intimate feelings to their friends, there’s still a lot of progress to be made when it comes to addressing loneliness,” Katelyn Watson of Talkspace said. Only 12% of men would say “vulnerability” was a masculine trait. (swnsdigital)
