Alpha Genesis is investigating the escape of 43 monkeys from a South Carolina testing facility. CEO Gregory Westergaard says the company is now exploring the possibility that an employee released the rhesus monkeys intentionally. “The enclosure was brand new and in perfect working order,” he says, but three containment doors were left unsecured. The employee in question reportedly walked off the job after the incident and has yet to return. Four monkeys are still on the loose as of Tuesday. (newser)
