A Russian plane was safely evacuated after it caught on fire after landing at a Turkish airport. The Sukhoi Superjet 100, operated by Azimuth Airlines, had 95 passengers aboard when the fire broke out in the plane’s left-side engine on Sunday night. Passengers exited using emergency slides. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. “There was panic in the cabin; people started jumping up, trying to get their bags, putting them in the aisle,” one passenger said. Russia’s Federal Aviation Authority plans to launch an investigation into the incident. (Newsweek)
