Wisconsin Man Faked Own Death To Move To Eastern Europe

A missing Wisconsin man recently resurfaced to confess faking his own death. Ryan Borgwardt, a father of three, went missing from Watertown during a kayaking trip. While an emergency search uncovered his capsized kayak, an investigation discovered evidence that Borgwardt had gone to Canada using his passport. Finally, the missing man confessed to flying to Europe. It also appears he has been talking to a Russian-speaking woman. While he is still in Europe, it seems he’s wanted back home. “The community has stated before that they’re willing to forgive,” Green Lake County Sheriff Mark Podoll said. “Christmas is coming, and what better gift he could give his kids to be there.” (Oddity Central)
