A $3 million-dollar home in Connecticut went up in flames on Thanksgiving Day when dinner hosts attempted to deep-fry a turkey in the garage. “There was a party going on at the house,” Chief of Volunteer Fire Department John Pokorny said. “When we arrived, the garage and the room above the garage were completely involved.” The fire also spread to the house next door, which was destroyed. Fortunately, everyone was able to leave the homes safely. The National Turkey Foundation advises deep-frying turkeys outside instead of inside. “You just have to be really careful because it can all go bad really quickly,” Chief Pokorny said. (newser)
