41% of adults think a sit-down dinner is expected on a first date, a survey of 2,000 Americans found. 90% say they respect what their partner orders, and 85% of those with different food preferences than their partner are willing to accept them. However, 36% of singles would say no to a second date if the first one didn’t live up to their standards. “If it’s a first date and you’re not sure exactly what the other person likes, you want to pick a location with something for everyone,” Barry McGowan of Fogo de Chão said. Respondents say staying off the phone (66%), being kind to service staff (65%) and chewing quietly (47%), helps make the date feel more romantic. (swnsdigital)
