A survey of 2,000 adults who want to lose weight found that the average respondent wants to lose 29 pounds. 81% are eager to drop these pounds ASAP, but 79% understand weight loss is an ongoing process. 65% think weight loss medications are more effective when combined with lifestyle changes. “Research shows that consistent effort and a focus on lifestyle behavioral changes contribute to more positive outcomes than short-term solutions,” Satya Jonnalagadda of Medifast said. 31% of respondents say they have successfully used weight loss medications.
