Would you save your partner from a bear attack? On Tuesday, in Canada’s Fort Severn First Nation, a man jumped on a polar bear who was about to attack his wife. “The woman slipped to [the] ground as her husband leapt onto the animal,” the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service posted on Facebook. “The bear then attacked the male, causing serious but non-life-threatening injuries to his arm and legs.” A staff at Polar Bear International said polar bears usually do not attack human beings, but if one does, do not play dead. “That is a myth. Fight as long as you can,” the scientist said. The man is expected to survive and the woman was unharmed. (newser)
