Britain intelligence agency GCHQ has published its annual Christmas Challenge…a greeting card filled with puzzles for amateur crime-solvers. The challenge is aimed for people between the ages of 11 and 18, and participants are encouraged to work in teams instead of tackling the puzzles on their own. “Don’t get me wrong – we have geniuses in the department,” Colin, GCHQ’s “Chief Puzzler” said. “But critically what we have is a large number of people with different skills coming together.” The card can be downloaded from the GCHQ website. The game seems to be popular among teachers: About one-third of British secondary schools have downloaded the challenge. (AOL)
