A study from Essex, England, has revealed three factors that could help women in the bedroom. Researchers explored how clued in 318 women were with their own bodies. These participants reported having 20% more frequent orgasms during solo recreational activities compared to partnered events. Additionally, these three factors seemed to make a large difference: awareness of bodily sensations; ability to maintain focus on bodily sensations, despite distractions; and feeling safe and comfortable in their own bodies. “The ability for women to focus their attention on their internal bodily sensations, and trust these sensations was also associated with increased orgasm satisfaction,” Dr. Megan Klabunde said.
