Nursing aide Regina Davis pleaded guilty to hiding cocaine in a lasagna that she attempted to smuggle into the Indiana State Prison. Davis was responsible for distributing medication to over 2,000 adult male inmates. In July, she brought a batch of lasagna that a guard thought “looked odd.” An examination of the dish uncovered packages of cocaine and marijuana wrapped in tape. At the time, Davis claimed she didn’t know the lasagna contained these substances. Her sentencing hearing is scheduled for January 31st. (The Smoking Gun)
