TikToker, psychologist, and mother-of-two Leslie Dobson explained to 11 million viewers why she didn’t return her shopping cart at the grocery store. “I’m not getting my groceries into my car, getting my children into the car and leaving them in the car to go return the cart,” she said. She also let viewers know with an expletive what she thinks of dirty looks she receives for her refusal. Some viewers didn’t agree with the stance. “Mom of a 6-year-old, 3-year-old and 9-month-old. I simply unload groceries, return cart WITH kids, and then load them in. Same way that we got out of car. Simple,” one commenter wrote. A Scientific American report found that those who don’t return shopping carts typically “believe it’s someone else’s job to get the carts or the supermarket’s responsibility.” (NY Post)
