Researchers at The Kennedy Forum found that there’s a huge cost associated with teen mental health. Teens who experience psychological stress earn $5,700 less annually in their late twenties compared to their peers, a recent study discovered. Teens in crisis also worked 201 fewer hours per year, and were 6% less likely to hold a job. A program helping 10% of at-risk teenagers could generate as much as $52 billion in benefits over a decade. This means helping the youth could have a ripple effect that would pay for itself over time. (Study Finds)
