Anne Reynolds purchased a one-acre lot in Hawaii in 2018, and was shocked to find out someone else had built a home on her land. In 2023, a real estate broker informed her that he had sold the house on her land, but Reynolds didn’t even know a home had been built. Local developer Keaau Development Partnership apparently hired PJ’s Construction to build homes in the area. It’s unclear who made the error that resulted in a home being built on Reynolds’ property. “There’s a lot of fingers being pointed between the developer and the contractor and some subs,” attorney James DiPasquale said. A judge ultimately ordered the developer to tear the house down. (Fortune)
