Do you find that you’re hungry after a workout? You might want to exercise harder! A study conducted at the University of Virginia found that high-intensity exercise could suppress appetite, while moderate-intensity workouts may actually fuel hunger. Researchers examined the impact of different workout intensities on 14 healthy adults, and found the intensities could impact the appetite hormone ghrelin. “We found that individuals felt ‘less hungry’ after high intensity exercise compared to moderate intensity exercise,” lead author Kara Anderson said. “High-intensity exercise may be important for appetite suppression, which can be particularly useful as part of a weight loss program.” (Study Finds)
