Research from the University of Georgia highlights the importance of unplugging during vacation. The analysis of 32 studies found that vacation benefits last longer if the vacationer truly unplugs from work. “If you’re not at work but you’re thinking about work on vacation, you might as well be at the office,” lead author Ryan Grant said. Physical activities were linked to the most benefits, followed by social activities. However, Americans don’t always take their vacation days: American workers left 768 million vacation days unused in 2018. (Study Finds)
