An Italian doctor who saved his cat’s life is now under investigation. Dr. Gianluca Fanelli’s cat Athena fell six stories from a roof, and the doctor quickly took her to the hospital where he worked and performed a CAT scan. While he saved the feline, prosecutors now say he could be charged with depriving patients of services. However, Dr. Fanelli used the equipment at 11 p.m., far after the day’s scheduled tests were over. “If my cat had died, I would never have been able to forgive myself, especially because my children adore her,” the doctor said. “We are investigating all possible rule violations,” hospital head Massimo Uberti said.
