Unexploded World War II bombs were found in a children’s playground in northern England after workers began construction on Scotts Play Park. A full survey of the area uncovered 65 10-pound practice bombs and smoke cartridges on the first day, and another 90 practice bombs on the second. Further excavations are planned to make sure the park is free from unexploded ordnance. The area was once used to train the Home Guard volunteer army. (AOL)
